Donation Terms and Conditions
Integrity Party - Donation Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the acceptance and use of donations made to the Integrity Party (the "Party"). By making a donation, you agree to these terms. The Party is committed to complying with all legal requirements, including those under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (PPERA) and any applicable UK laws.
2. Eligibility for Donations
Donations can only be accepted from individuals and entities that meet the following criteria:
- Individuals: You must be a British citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, or a Commonwealth citizen who is either registered to vote in the UK or resident in the UK.
- Corporate Donations: The Party will not accept donations from corporate entities unless the entity is based in the UK and complies with UK law.
- Prohibited Donors: Donations from foreign nationals, foreign governments, and foreign entities, or from entities that do not comply with UK law, will not be accepted.
3. Donation Limits
The Party is required by law to ensure that donations from an individual or entity do not exceed £500 per calendar year unless otherwise stipulated by the law. The Party reserves the right to refuse donations that exceed this limit.
4. Transparency and Reporting
All donations over £500 (whether a single or aggregate donation from a donor) will be publicly reported in accordance with the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. Your name and the amount of your donation may be disclosed in the Party’s annual financial statement or other official reports.
5. Anonymous Donations
Donations of £500 or more cannot be made anonymously. Any donations of £500 or more will require the donor’s name and contact information to be recorded. Anonymous donations under £500 will be accepted, subject to the legal requirements.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
Once a donation has been made and processed, it cannot be refunded, except where it is determined that the donation has been made in violation of the Party’s donation acceptance policy or applicable law. The Party reserves the right to return any donation if it does not meet legal requirements.
7. Use of Donations
Donations will be used solely for the purposes of furthering the objectives of the Integrity Party, including campaigning, policy development, and operational costs. The Party will ensure that funds are spent in accordance with its legal and ethical obligations.
8. Fraud and Misuse
The Party takes all necessary steps to ensure that donations are legitimate. Any donation found to be made fraudulently or through illegal means will be returned, and the donor may be reported to the relevant authorities.
9. Changes to Terms
The Party reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. All changes will be posted on the Party’s website, and it is your responsibility to check for updates regularly.
10. Data Protection
The Integrity Party is committed to protecting your personal data. By making a donation, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Party’s Privacy Policy, which complies with UK data protection laws (including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
